Another setback for Putin as workers get poisoned
Vladimir Putin faces an unprecedented crisis as 14 workers from an aircraft manufacturing company have been rushed to the hospital following a food poisoning incident.
The incident took place at the DK Engine-Building Production Association in Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan.
This factory is part of the military-industrial complex that manufactures, repairs, and develops aircraft for the Russian army. The company also designs helicopters.
In total, 21 people have fallen ill, and local officials believe this outbreak could be due to a norovirus infection, which is typically transmitted through contaminated food or water.
Scientists from the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology are currently analyzing samples taken from the food consumed by the employees.
Recently, a Russian naval base in Dagestan was targeted by Ukrainian drones. Several ships were reportedly damaged in the attack, though no official statement has been released detailing the incident.
