Belgian museum organizes Delvaux evening with radical dress code

In Liège, the Musée de la Boverie is organizing an exceptional visit to its exhibition devoted to Paul Delvaux. Like the female models in many of the artist's paintings, you'll have to ditch the jacket and everything else you're wearing.

“Entrance reserved for naked people”. This could be the sign outside the Musée de la Boverie in Liège (Belgium) this Friday, February 28, 2025. In any case, this will be the “dress” code imposed for a nocturnal visit, starting at 7pm, to the exhibition “Les Mondes de Paul Delvaux” (The Worlds of Paul Delvaux). Although necessarily reserved for adults, this could be an opportunity to connect more closely with the dreamlike universe of the artist, who never failed to paint female figures. Nudity is the central theme of the exhibition. Indeed, the painter explored the human body “with incomparable poetry and emotion”, as the Liège institution reminds us.

Protected environment

The special exhibition, forbidden to those who are afraid of the cold, is organized with the support of the Fédération Belge de Naturisme and the association “Eve et Adam simplement nus”. It's open to experienced naturists and novices over 18. Another way to experience the emotion of painting the exhibition free of all constraints. The Musée de la Boverie charges €19.50 for the experience. However, it points out that all this will take place “within a secure and strictly supervised framework”, in “a benevolent and non-judgmental atmosphere”. It goes without saying that “every precaution will be taken to respect the dignity and serenity of the participants”. Otherwise, the exhibition is open until March 16, 2025.
