Amazing treasure discovered on the wreck of the Titanic

As the investigation into the implosion of the Titan submersible continues, an incredible find has just been made aboard the wreck of the Titanic.

Since the sinking of the Titanic in April 1912, causing thousands of deaths, the wreck has continued to fuel fascination. The unsinkable is still full of incredible treasures, and this latest discovery proves it.

In June 2023, the Titan submarine, operated by Ocean Gate, tragically imploded during a dive in the Atlantic Ocean. And, in order to investigate this implosion, researchers from RMS Titanic Inc. (the only company authorized to extract objects from the debris field of the "Titanic") went on an expedition off the coast of Newfoundland. As part of this, they were able to get their hands on the bronze statue of Diane de Versailles, reports Demotivateur.

A replica of an ancient statue that symbolizes the Roman goddess of the hunt. An object that had originally been installed in the grand salon of the liner. It had been spotted for the last time by researchers in 1986, then had completely disappeared… And while it was thought to be lost forever, the bronze statue was found in “relatively good condition”.

The company RMS Titanic Inc., while delighted by this unexpected discovery, deplores a major loss: “the discovery of the statue of Diana was an exciting moment. But we are saddened by the loss of the iconic bow railing and other evidence of degradation that has only strengthened our commitment to preserving the legacy of the Titanic”.
