Teen who stabbed family to death speaks: 'I don't know how many stabs I gave my brother, there were many'
A 17-year-old boy committed an atrocity last weekend after a birthday party in the northern Italian town of Paderno Dugnano, near Milan. In initial interviews with police, the young perpetrator shared gruesome details.
He notified the police himself and after several false statements, he finally confessed his horrific act: he had stabbed his little brother (12) to death, as well as his father (51) and mother (48). The facts happened just hours after the dad's birthday celebration at home. He dealt as many as 68 knife stabs, killing his little brother and parents.
“When I had the knife in my hand, I started. And once I got going, I felt like I couldn't stop, or it would have only been worse,” he said in a new interrogation, which lasted several hours. “I don't remember how many stitches I gave my brother, there were many.”
The boy told investigators that no one understood him and that he felt like “a stranger” everywhere. He thought it would help if he was “free” from his parents and brother, by whom he felt “suffocated.”
