Robbers with sleeping gas finally caught in Ibiza after years of terror
The police and a lot of wealthy residents in Ibiza breathe a sigh of relief because after a years-long manhunt, three robbers who repeatedly struck at night with sleeping gas could finally be cuffed.
They are two men and a woman who for years broke into large villas in Ibiza, drugging the residents with a type of sleeping gas so they could go on their rampage undisturbed. They often made off with luxury goods. Each time, the residents woke up in the morning and felt slightly dizzy. Then they noticed that they had been robbed. This gang of thieves used this pattern for several years.
But the Spanish Guardia Civil now managed to catch these dreaded burglars. They are said to be responsible for at least 20 burglaries in five years. Items found at their addresses included stolen cars, luxury watches, jewellery, sunglasses and handbags.
