These are the figures released by the High Court of Justice of the Valencia region. The search continues, particularly in the parking lots. Even if the Bonaire shopping center in Aldaia, near Valencia, did not yield hundreds of bodies, as had been estimated before its inspection.
Over 200 dead
The number of people who died in the disaster and have now been found is 219. 50 of the deceased have already been reunited with their families. For the others, identification is proving difficult. The bodies have suffered greatly after being swept away by the waves. On the ground, Spain has deployed 15,000 military and police personnel to pump out the water, clean up and repair the affected areas and help the inhabitants. They were also able to count on the incredible solidarity of their compatriots.
