Taylor Swift is an extremely popular figure on social media. She could even play a key role in the upcoming US elections on November 5.

Taylor Swift is more than a pop star, she's an empire in her own right that is worth more than a billion dollars. Taylor Swift has more than 400 million subscribers, and so the singer is ardently courted by the Democratic clan and violently jeered by Trump supporters.

Some groups of "Swifties" have already decided to support Kamala Harris against Donald Trump.

Irene Kim, co-founder and executive director of Swifties for Kamala, told NBC News:

"We know personally what our values ​​are. We also know Taylor's values. She explained them to us very clearly."

Taylor Swift herself is not affiliated with Swifties for Kamala, nor has she publicly endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz, although she did endorse Joe Biden for the White House in 2020.

"We're not trying to make her do anything — we're not speaking for Taylor," Kim, 29, explained in a recent interview with Cosmopolitan.

"Our movement is about the power of our community and how we can mobilize together."

But this is likely a first step by the American star's followers to try to convince as many people as possible, including Taylor Swift, to support Kamala Harris in the upcoming US elections on November 5.
