“What if Trump wins the election?”

A hypothesis that's not improbable according to American author Douglas Kennedy. On the set of the show "11h/13h", this Monday, October 7, he indicates that victory could be decided by a small handful of votes.

Douglas Kennedy is one of the most famous American writers in the world. A keen observer of the United States, he has just released his latest work "Ailleurs, chez moi", which depicts an America as divided as it is full of cultural riches, reports France Info. In a Sunday column, he explains how the American left could swing the November election and compromise the victory of Kamala Harris. During the show "11/13", he points out that this threatening opposition comes from the Democratic candidate's own camp.

To support his point, he turns to the past victories of George W. Bush against Al Gore or Donald Trump against Hillary Clinton. In both cases, small candidates from the Democratic left managed to compete with the liberal heavyweights, validated by the head of the Democratic Party, indicates France Info. And Douglas Kennedy emphasizes that, for lack of choice, "many leftists in the United States are voting against both candidates." The polls remain very tight.
