Ex-Adviser released from prison fires up Trump supporters

Donald Trump’s former far-right White House adviser, Steve Bannon, was released from prison on Tuesday after serving four months for obstructing Congress’s investigative powers. Now free, he’s back and fervently rallying behind the Republican candidate.

Bannon is "galvanizing" Trump supporters with warnings of dire consequences if Trump isn’t elected:

"The Democrats know they can’t win at the ballot box, and they’ll do everything humanly possible to overturn Trump’s election and delegitimize his second term. And I can tell you right now that the working and middle classes in this country who support Donald Trump won’t let this happen again."

In Washington, the concern isn’t about another insurrection at the Capitol, but rather “mini Capitols” across key swing states, where the outcome may hinge on a few tens of thousands of votes.

Tensions are running extremely high due to the narrative of election fraud widely promoted by Trump and the Republicans.

Among Trump supporters, the belief remains the same: he didn’t lose the 2020 election, and if he loses on November 5, it will once again be seen as stolen.

This situation raises the possibility of pushing the country toward a civil conflict.
