Donald Trump’s weird reaction to a fly sparks mockery
Donald Trump was briefly interrupted by a fly during a speech, and his unusual reaction quickly became the subject of online mocking.
The Republican candidate for the U.S. presidential election was giving a speech in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, when he was suddenly disturbed by the flying insect.
"Oh, there’s a fly,” he said, wondering where it might have come from. The crowd responded by saying : "Kamala,” referring to his democrat opponent Kamala Harris.
"See, two years ago, I wouldn’t have had a fly up here. You’re changing rapidly. We can’t take it any longer.” he added, leaving the audience somewhat puzzled.
While internet users quickly mocked the former president’s behaviour, the American Bridge 21st Century account, which describes itself as a Republican accountability group, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Donald Trump appeared “exhausted.”
“Trump is exhausted and struggling to stay on track. He begins a story about a hat, but gets distracted by a fly and never finishes. He starts a entirely new story and struggles with the word ‘unique’”, the account added.
