Jon Bon Jovi prevents woman from committing suicide
Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi is being praised by police for helping a woman in distress who was standing on the edge of a bridge in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department shared footage showing Bon Jovi and his team helping the woman, who was standing dangerously on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge above the Cumberland River.
The 62-year-old Bon Jovi, who was in the area to shoot a music video, approached the woman, talked to her and helped her back onto the bridge safely. After the woman was safe, Bon Jovi hugged her and left the bridge with her.
Police praised him for his role in the rescue and stressed the importance of community spirit to keep others safe.
