Actress told: "Just get naked, don't argue!"
Invited on the French channel TF1 a few weeks ago, the French actress Vahina Giocante gave a moving account of the incest she suffered during childhood - and the abuse she later experienced in the world of cinema
Vahina Giocante was a victim of incest on the part of her father from the age of 5, an ordeal she wrote about in her book "A corps ouvert" (An Open Body).
She was also asked about her experiences in the world of cinema. She recounted her meeting with the director Benoît Jacquot, on the set of the film "No Scandal" when she was only 17 years old. In one scene, he asked her to get out of bed dressed in a long t-shirt.
"I'd like us to do it again, but I want you to take your panties off ". The young woman refused to which Jacquot replied, "Don't argue. It's my film, that's how it is".
Vahina Giocante asked the dresser to give her flesh-colored panties, and she returned to the set to replay the scene, with the director thinking she was naked under her t-shirt. After filming the scene, Jacquot then told her, "You see when you want to, it wasn't that difficult".
Later, the director told her, "I don't know if you understood: if you're nice, you'll be in the next (film)". Vahina Giocante replied, "I'm not a nice girl".
