Live longer? Try this tea!
Cardiovascular diseases, such as heart attacks and strokes, are the leading causes of death worldwide.
A study has shown that the risk of these conditions can be significantly reduced by drinking rooibos tea.
Participants in the study drank six cups of rooibos tea every day: they appeared to have a much better lipid profile, with lower levels of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and higher levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL).
Other dietary habits can also reduce the risk of heart disease: for example, a moderate intake of saturated fats, such as those found in “fatty” cuts of meat, cream, pastries and biscuits.
