Dubai soon shows off new record-breaking attraction

The Burj Khalifa Tower is getting a slightly smaller brother in Dubai.

The Burj Azizi Tower will be the second tallest structure in the world. Construction began in January on Sheikh Zayed Road. At that time, the exact height was not announced. In recent days, real estate company Azizi Developments announced that the new skyscraper will be a whopping 725 meters high. It will have as many as 131 floors and, in addition to apartments, will include a seven-star luxury suite-only hotel and a seven-story shopping mall.

“The tower is expected to set several records, including that of the world's tallest hotel lobby (on floor 11), the world's tallest nightclub (on floor 126) and the world's tallest observation site (on floor 130),” Azizi Developments said. The developer also says the building will break the record for Dubai's tallest restaurant. Exactly when the tower will be finished is not yet known.
