War in Ukraine: Putin would like to resume talks with Trump
While Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, had said that the Russian president would not react to Donald Trump's victory, Vladimir Putin now seems keen to get back in touch.
The United States is still “a hostile country directly and indirectly involved in a war against our state”, Dmitri Peskov had declared... Which didn't stop the head of the Kremlin from congratulating Trump on his victory and throwing him a few flowers in the process, saying that he had been very brave during his assassination attempt. “He behaved in a very dignified and courageous way, like a man,” had stressed the Russian president, who would like to "[resume] contact and discussions".
The end of the conflict in Ukraine should be a priority at their next meeting.
