Ukrainians strike on Black Sea: Russian deminer bombed and sunk
Ukraine sunk another Russian ship in Crimea.
The Ukrainian military announced Sunday that it had sunk a Russian minesweeper in the Crimean port of Sevastopol. Ukraine identified the sunken ship as the "Kovrovets," a member of the Black Sea Fleet, "disabled as a result of the powerful nighttime bombing of the temporarily occupied peninsula." The ship's function was "to search for, detect and destroy sea mines and to guide ships through mine barriers."
This information was confirmed by the fact that the Russian governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, reported a "night attack" by the Ukrainian army.
