Ukraine in panic: Putin increases his bets
Ukrainian troops are under threat from one of the "mightiest" Russian offensives since the start of the Moscow-led war, Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said.
Throughout 2024, Ukraine faced a difficult situation regarding the defense of the front line, especially in Donetsk Oblast, where Russia continuously concentrated its offensive potential.
Mr Syrskyi describes the situation on the battlefield as difficult.
“The active hostilities that continue in some areas require constant renewal of the resources of Ukrainian units,” he said.
The information was released as Russia plans to use North Korean troops to support its war effort, deploying more than 7,000 troops near the Ukrainian border.
In a recent interview, President Volodymyr Zelensky criticized the "zero response" of Ukrainian partners to the deployment of North Korean troops in the war in Ukraine. He said that if Kiev were allowed to use Western long-range weapons on Russian territory, it could pre-emptively attack “all camps” where North Korean troops are gathering.
