Trump fuels controversy with explosive immigration lies
Donald Trump once again slammed immigration during a speech he gave at a private event last August in Aspen, Colorado.
According to The Guardian, which obtained a 12-minute recording from the charity dinner, the Republican presidential candidate spoke about border control and the Democratic Party's proposed immigration policies.
Donald Trump claimed, without providing any evidence, that South American countries were sending all their criminals and offenders to the United States. He also mentioned a fabricated example of 22 individuals who supposedly came to the U.S. directly after being released from prison in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
"These are the toughest people. These people are coming in from Africa, from the Middle East. They’re coming in from all parts of Asia, the bad parts, the parts where they’re rough, and the only thing good is they make our criminals look extremely nice. They make our Hell’s Angels look like the nicest people on earth," he told the audience.
In his speech, Donald Trump also argued that his Democrat opponent, Kamala Harris, posed a serious threat to democracy.
"Look, we gotta win and if we don’t win this country’s going to hell. You know, there’s an expression, this could be the last election we ever have and it’s an expression that I really believe, and I believe that this could be the last election we ever have," he explained.
