The message is clear: the Kremlin does not want peace
Western countries "are not holding back" and are getting more and more involved in the conflict in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview broadcast on Russian television.
"We see that the degree of involvement of Western states is constantly tending to increase. They are not holding back. On the contrary, they are declaring their intention to move forward to ensure Ukraine's victory," Peskov said.
Meanwhile, Ukrainians themselves "reflect utopian thoughts about the need to impose peace on Russia."
"These ill-advised discussions can have very negative consequences for the Kiev regime," Peskov added. Asked about the conditions under which Russia could implement the modified version of its nuclear doctrine, given that it has already been the target of massive strikes by military drones and missiles, the Kremlin spokesman replied that this was the prerogative of the military authorities."
