Serious incident: Putin taunts the West
A Russian armed drone crashed in the Baltic countries, more precisely in Latvia. Putin continues to provoke NATO by pushing back the red lines.
Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics stressed that airspace violations have increased along NATO's eastern borders. This is a more serious case, since the Russian drone that crashed is of Iranian origin and was loaded with explosives.
For several weeks, the Kremlin has been multiplying incursions into NATO territory.
In Romania, a member country since 2004, debris from Russian drones has been found.
Poland also reported an incursion of a Russian flying device into its territory at the end of August. For military experts, Putin's tactic is to provoke NATO with multiple small incidents in order to test the reaction of the West, which is trying to avoid a global conflict at all costs.
