Russians humiliated: Their tank literally melts in front of their eyes
The footage is exceptional. A video released on October 4 by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense shows a “dragon drone” destroying a Russian tank.
The Russian vehicle is stopped dead in its tracks by artillery fire. The video then shows a drone “spewing molten thermite” over the war machine. The final image: the tank is engulfed in flames.
An attack that allegedly took place near Minkivka, a city located in eastern Ukraine (in the Donetsk oblast), reports Forbes. However, the video has not been independently verified. According to an Estonian analyst, this is “probably the first documented case of a ‘dragon drone’ striking Russian armored vehicles”.
These “dragon drones” were released and used by Ukrainian forces in September. Since then, many videos have landed on social media networks, which show these weapons of war dispersing thermite (a mixture of aluminum powder and iron oxide) on metal and melting it. Indeed, this substance, whose heat is higher than 2,200 °C, can melt the steel of armored vehicles.
