Russians are ready to retaliate with powerful weapons
The president of Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, said Russia was already prepared to respond to the use of long-range missiles against its territory.
"These discussions can have disastrous consequences. They're talking about attacking our cities and they are discussing it thinking that it will not affect them. This is not the case. We will respond. We have the means to respond. More powerful weapons are already ready," he was quoted as saying by TASS.
According to Volodin, it's "very important" that the US authorities and European countries "are aware of what can happen" if they allow Ukraine to use its long-range missiles.
Volodin said Russian President, Vladimir Putin, was "doing everything possible" to avoid a "nuclear catastrophe" and a new world war.
