"Russian invasion is a global threat"
Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister, Egidijus Meilunas, said the international community must step up efforts to stop Russia’s “brutal aggression” against Ukraine.
For the deputy minister, this is a global threat that can be replicated by other autocratic countries. “It's clear that Russia is the aggressor and Ukraine is the victim. So we must support Ukraine and stop Russia, otherwise it will be a great threat not only to Europe, but also to the whole world,” Meilunas said during an official visit to Costa Rica.
The Lithuanian deputy minister called Russia’s war against Ukraine a brutal aggression and warned that a Russian victory could encourage other autocratic countries, including North Korea, China and Iran, to take similar steps.
