Russian court orders arrest of CNN reporter
A journalist from U.S. broadcaster CNN who is currently outside Russia was targeted by a Russian court on Friday.
CNN journalist Nick Paton Walsh, who himself was not present in court, is accused of illegally crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border while making a report in the Kursk region, partially occupied by the Ukrainian military. He allegedly did so on the side of Ukrainian soldiers as far as the town of Sudzha, which is occupied by Kiev troops. The Russian court ordered his immediate arrest Friday. And his name was placed on a “list of wanted persons.” Last Monday, two Italian journalists from RAI were also placed on the list for the same reason. They too risk 5 years in prison.
