Putin threatens Trump with nuclear warheads

Vladimir Putin has ordered intercontinental ballistic missile tests shortly after Donald Trump’s victory in the presidential election.

The Russian Defense Ministry released a video showing Yars missiles being transported to a launch site in the Kaluga region.

These missiles have a range of 12,000 km, enough to reach targets in Europe or the United States, and are a significant part of Russia’s nuclear deterrent.

These new military exercises come as Donald Trump’s return to the White House in January could strain relations between the United States and NATO.

During his campaign, the Republican candidate claimed he could end the conflict in 24 hours.

On Thursday, the Russian president praised Donald Trump’s victory, calling him "courageous." At an appearance at the Sochi forum, he also indicated he was open to discussing the future of the conflict with the incoming American president.

In the hours following Donald Trump’s win, the Kremlin expressed caution regarding the future of the war, particularly given that the U.S. has been supplying arms and military equipment to Kyiv since the beginning of the conflict.
