Putin's powerful and formidable military ally
China-Russia naval drills in the Sea of Japan continue, and now include live-fire.
China and Russia's joint naval exercises in the Sea of Japan have entered their second phase, with warships from both countries conducting live-fire exercises, according to Chinese state media.
After Saturday's opening ceremony, Chinese and Russian ships set sail from the port of Vladivostok for the area where the drills will take place, the nationalist Global Times reported late yesterday, citing both the Russian Defense Ministry and the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
The drills will include scenarios such as maritime and air escort, warning and defense, air and missile defense, and live-fire artillery drills.
