Putin has reached three sinister milestones
Russia has reached three morbid milestones since Vladimir Putin's country invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
Since Vladimir Putin launched the invasion of Ukraine over two years ago, Russia has hit three tragic milestones. Russian forces have lost 999 air defense systems, while tank losses are nearing 30,000 units.
Ukraine's commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said on Tuesday: "For 1,000 days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been confronting the enemy on the front line, which stretches over 1,000 kilometers."
Adding to these losses are significant human casualties. According to estimates from Kyiv—though not independently verified—Russian casualties have surpassed 724,000. With daily losses estimated at 1,500 soldiers, Russia could reach the symbolic figure of 750,000 casualties by next month.
Ukraine has recently deployed long-range ATACMS missiles on the battlefield after U.S. President Joe Biden lifted all usage restrictions. However, their deployment inside Russia has so far been limited to the Kursk region, where Ukrainian forces continue to resist Russian troops.
