"Putin has lost, but he refuses to admit it"
Invited on LCI, the French news channel, General Michel Yakovleff, former vice chief of staff of NATO, analyzed the conflict caused by Putin's Russia, from a demographic point of view.
For the French general: "Russia is heading straight for a wall, economically, socially, culturally, and it's been since Putin came to power, not since 2022. The invasion of Ukraine in 2022 only accelerates the fall of Russia and it's for logical and structural reasons."
Michel Yakovleff puts forward a purely demographic reason:
"Russia has 144 million inhabitants, in 2050 there will be 120 million, and not only will they be much fewer, but they will be much older, that is the future of Russia in reality, you cannot fight against demography, we really have long-term reasons to be optimistic."
