Putin had his private palace destroyed in fear of attack
Russian President, Vladimir Putin, has demolished his Sochi residence, citing concerns about frequent drone attacks.
The publication "Project" reports this, citing analysis of satellite imagery.
The journalists noted that Mr. Putin has not visited his Sochi residence in the past seven months, which had not happened "for at least ten years".
"After analyzing satellite images, we concluded that the demolition began in February 2024, and in March the building was torn down," the authors of the investigation said.
Putin fears being targeted; last year, Russian media reported that Vladimir Putin was increasingly using an armored train for his travels. One reason for this decision is that a train is harder to track in real time than an airplane.
