Putin doesn't randomly strike
On Saturday morning, Russian troops targeted a medical center in Sumy, a city in northeastern Ukraine. As the facility was being evacuated, Russia struck again, killing nine people in total.
According to Ukrainian officials, 86 patients and 38 staff members were inside the hospital at the time. “The first attack killed one person and damaged the ceilings of several floors of the hospital,” Ukrainian Interior Minister, Ihor Klimenko, said on Telegram. Even as the occupants mobilized to evacuate the premises, Russian forces repeated their attack, killing five more people, Klimenko said.
Later in the day, a report from Ukrainian emergency services revealed that nine people had died and 20 others were injured. Following this new aggression, Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, said: "Everyone in the world who talks about this war should pay attention to where Russia is striking. It's attacking hospitals, civilians and people's lives. Only force can force Russia to peace. Peace through force is the only right way."
