Putin activates his clandestine networks in Europe

After a major five-country crackdown on a smuggling network violating sanctions against Russia, European police are now targeting Putin’s spies based in Europe as a priority

In January, a total of five countries took part in an operation against an international network that was violating sanctions against Russia by supplying technological and laboratory products purchased in Europe and transported to Russia via Eastern Europe.

The investigation, led by Dutch authorities, led to raids and interrogations in Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Canada and the Netherlands, under the coordination of Europol and Eurojust.

But since the arrest of a spy chef in Paris who wanted to sabotage the Olympic Games, European police and secret services have been targeting  the “dormant” and secret networks that Putin allegedly activated in order to wage his own underground war against Europe as a priority.
