More and more Russian sabotage attempts in Poland
In Poland, security services are having to foil more and more sabotage attempts from Russia and Belarus.
This was stated by Krzysztof Gawkowski, Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs, on Monday. The first target of the Russian and Belarusian hackers was the Polish anti-doping agency. From there, they wanted to penetrate other Polish government institutions.
According to the Polish deputy prime minister, Polish security services have seen a doubling of cyber attacks since last year. Sometimes they even exceed a thousand attacks a day.
According to Poland, Russia wants to destabilise the country politically, economically and militarily for supporting Ukraine.
