Lebanon: more deaths with walkie-talkies than with pagers
The simultaneous explosion of pagers in Lebanon on Tuesday killed at least 12 times, with thousands more wounded. On Wednesday, it was Hezbollah's walkie-talkies that blew up. And the death toll is even harsher. 20 people died after the explosion of walkie-talkies in Lebanon on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. There are also 450 injured. These explosions took place during the funerals of four Hezbollah members killed the day before. The macabre toll for booby-trapped the pagers on Tuesday, September 17 is 12 dead and between 2,750 and 2,800 injured, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Several of the wounded have been permanently blinded or lost a hand. This is a hard blow for the Lebanese Shiite movement. But also for its Syrian and Iranian allies.
