Kim's new atomic 'toy'

North Korea appears to have begun construction on a new submarine, which could be nuclear-powered, according to a South Korean official.

An unnamed South Korean military official told state news agency Yonhap that construction work on the submarine had been identified in the northeast of the country and that the boat was larger than previous submarines used by Korea.

The fact that they are nuclear-powered makes them quieter and more autonomous.

At the party congress in January 2021, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced that "the design of a new nuclear-powered submarine has been researched and is in the final review stage".

Kim added that design work on various weapons and sensors for such a project had already been completed.

It appears that the North Korean leader is finally coming to fruition with his terrible plan.
