Kim Jong Un’s troops have already been obliterated
A senior U.S. official has confirmed that Ukrainian and North Korean troops have exchanged fire, adding that Kim Jong Un's forces have already suffered heavy losses.
Speaking anonymously, the source told the New York Times that a "significant number" of North Korean soldiers had been eliminated.
Earlier in the week, Kyiv reported clashes between the Ukrainian army and Asian battalions but provided no further details.
According to multiple intelligence agencies, Pyongyang has sent a contingent of 12,000 soldiers to Moscow, some of whom are already on the front lines.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledged the presence of North Korean troops on the battlefield this week.
In an interview with KBS, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov disclosed that additional troops are expected to be deployed in the coming weeks.
Currently, North Korean forces are stationed in Russia's Kursk region, where Ukrainian troops still control certain areas after a surprise breakthrough last summer.
