In a panic, North Koreans shoot at Russian soldiers
Nearly 8,000 North Korean troops have reportedly been deployed in the Kursk region, where Kiev launched its surprise offensive on August 6.
According to a Russian soldier, North Korean troops made a serious mistake by firing in the wrong direction and endangering his own unit.
In a video published on X by the pro-Ukrainian account Victoria, a Russian soldier can be seen explaining what happened. He said he was sent with his unit and 10 North Korean soldiers into the forest to dig trenches. During an enemy attack, the North Koreans opened fired at them. "We tried to explain to them where to aim, but I think they shot two of us. Under the circumstances, I decided it was better to surrender than to be killed by our own bullets."
