"If Ukraine falls, it will reshape the global order" claims Ukrainian ambassador
The Ukrainian ambassador to the UK has warned that Ukraine's defeat would lead to a reshaping of the world order.
Speaking at the Conservative Party conference on Tuesday, Valerii Zaluzhnyi urged Ukraine's allied nations to remain united and continue supporting his country, as the war between the two neighboring nations has lasted for more than two years.
"The stakes of this war go beyond Europe. If Ukraine falls, it will reshape the global order." he said.
"Whoever wins the war will be in the position to shape the future of the world. This is why we must be absolutely clear – Ukraine must win this war," he added.
The West is currently considering allowing Ukraine to use its long-range missiles against Russia, despite warnings from the Kremlin that such a move would inevitably lead to a proxy war.
During the event, MP Alicia Kearns also urged the UK to provide greater support to Kyiv.
"Time is precious. We are still only giving Ukraine enough to survive, not to win, and that is a moral failure," she said.
