"If Trump were president, Putin would be sitting in Kiev"
The US election campaign is in full swing, and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is multiplying rallies to win the November 5 vote.
US Vice President and Democratic candidate for the White House, Kamala Harris, said in an interview that if elected, she would not meet with Russian President, Vladimir Putin, for a bilateral meeting to discuss peace, believing that Ukraine must be represented.
"Ukraine must have a say in the future of Ukraine," Harris told CBS's "60 Minutes" when asked about the possibility of meeting with the Russian leader to negotiate an end to the war.
A month before the presidential election, Harris sought to clearly distance herself from her rival Donald Trump on a crucial issue of US foreign policy.
"If Donald Trump were president, Putin would be sitting in Kiev right now, let's be clear," she insisted.
