Hecatombe in the Russian army: Putin sorely needs Kim Jong-un
Only a few days? Nearly 1,000 days have passed since Russia invaded Ukraine, and Putin's victory is still not a foregone conclusion. Just a formality? The Russian army, still active on the battlefield, doesn't seem to be making much headway... Worse still, it's suffering heavy losses.
In October, Moscow sent 2,000 Shahed drones, twice as many as the previous month, reports L'Indépendant. Proof that the fighting is intensifying.
Russia is paying a high price in the face of Ukrainian resistance. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Putin's army has lost 700,000 men since the start of the conflict, either dead, wounded or unfit for war. A figure which, given the imbalance between the two armies, is enormous. It's also a figure that helps us understand why the Russian president sorely needs the support of North Korea's armed forces.
