Germany doesn’t believe Ukraine can win the war
Germany is not convinced that Ukraine can successfully launch a counteroffensive in the near future.
According to the German newspaper Bild, the country’s Ministry of Defense does not believe that Kyiv is currently capable of turning the tide against Russia, and Germany will stop sending heavy equipment to Ukraine.
The outlet reports, after gaining access to a ministry document, that the "transfer is complete," referring to the shipment of military aid to Kyiv. Germany has previously sent Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine but does not plan to send more.
After the United States, Germany is the second-largest supplier of military equipment to Ukraine.
