Dmitry Medvedev: this time, he wants to sink Great Britain

Dmitry Medvedev has called on Vladimir Putin to bomb the entire Great Britain.

The former Russian president and prime minister, close ally of Vladimir Putin, expressed his deep animosity toward Britain in a social media post shared late last week.

Medvedev referenced comments made by Olympic champion Elena Vyalbe, who recently claimed that Russia would gain international acceptance if it bombed London.

"Our famous skier Elena Vyalbe suggested dropping a bomb on London. That’s right, of course, but we need to solve the problem at its root and immediately sink the damned island of Anglo-Saxon dogs," wrote the deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council on his Telegram account.

These remarks came just ahead of Vladimir Putin's 72nd birthday, which he celebrated on Monday, October 7.

Several leaders, including Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, sent birthday messages to the Russian president.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said: "Dear Vladimir Vladimirovich, please accept my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of your birthday."
