"Death penalty too lenient for Putin"
Vladimir Kara Murza, Russian dissident and Putin opponent who was released a few weeks ago, has just spoken out about the future of his country.
"Russia is a multi-ethnic country, but it has not yet become "a real federal state," Mr. Kara-Murza stressed. Many Russians fear that Russia will collapse like the Soviet Union and therefore support an authoritarian government."
"Maybe Russia will be free when Putin finally dies." But Vladimir Kara-Murza hopes that Putin is healthy.
"I want to see him in the dock. I want him to take responsibility for everything he has done in the last 25 years."
"I know he will answer for his sins," Kara-Murza said, "but I want him to be held accountable too. He must take responsibility for Nemtsov, for Navalny, for the Ukrainian children who were killed. Death would be too lenient a punishment."
