Chinese die in targeted attack in Pakistan
The regional government of Pakistan's Sindh province reports on X that a tanker truck exploded Sunday on the road leading to the airport in Karachi, Pakistan's largest city. Two Chinese men were killed in the incident. The men were there working on project for a nuclear power plant in Pakistan.
The attack was claimed Monday by a separatist group from Beluchistan province.
The Beluchistan Liberation Army (BLA) confirmed in a press release Monday that it had attacked a convoy of Chinese investors and engineers coming from Karachi airport.
In addition to the two deceased Chinese, another Chinese and several Pakistanis were injured.
