Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov accuses Elon Musk of sabotaging cybertruck
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has accused Tesla CEO Elon Musk of “remotely disabling” his cybertruck sent to the front lines of Russia's war in Ukraine.
Kadyrov's lies?
Kadyrov claimed Thursday that the vehicle, which he said was equipped with a machine gun and “performed well in combat,” had been disabled and added Friday that he had sent two more Tesla Cybertrucks to the front lines. And he points the finger of blame at none other than Elon Musk.
The Chechen warlord, known for his loyalty to Russian President Vladimir Putin and his active involvement in Russia's military operations in Ukraine, shared footage of himself driving a Cybertruck in August, claiming it was a gift from Musk. In the video, a smiling Kadyrov could be seen driving across an empty square in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, thanking Musk for the vehicle that “will soon be sent to the front.”
Musk denies
Musk, however, adamantly denied that he gave the vehicle to Kadyrov. “Are you seriously so retarded that you think I gave a Cybertruck to a Russian general?” he wrote at the time on X, the social media platform he owns.
And so now the Chechen war leader is also claiming that Musk deliberately sabotaged him. “What Elon Musk did was not nice. He gives expensive gifts from his heart and then turns them off remotely.”
