Barbarity intensifies: “Russians want to drown Ukrainian populations”
Ukrainian Telegram channels report that the Kurakhova reservoir dam may have been mined by the Russians in order to flood roads supplying Ukrainian troops. According to the head of the military administration, water is already flooding local villages.
For Xavier Tytelman, aeronautics specialist and former military aviator:
“This is a bypass method used by the Russians; they've started bombing the Kurakhova dam, so we can well imagine that they're going to try to make water bodies give way, drown populations, drown Ukrainian soldiers who are below, including their own soldiers, as they've already done in the past.”
For Tytelman, this gives them an advantage:
“That's what keeps them going, they don't use normal, modern warfare, as we understand it. They stoop to levels of barbarism that we're not ready to conceive. And that, too, is their strength.”
