Another big blunder by Putin
During a meeting with journalists, the Kremlin dictator stated that the Ukrainian army is losing about 25,000 soldiers a month.
The only problem is that Putin also stressed that the ratio of irreparable losses of Ukrainian and Russian troops, i.e., the number of dead, is 5 to 1. In other words, when Putin admits that 25,000 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, he says the number of Russians killed is 5,000, and Putin's communication turns out to be a big lie.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) disagrees with him, claiming that there is no evidence of such high losses on the Ukrainian side.
According to statistics, the number of Russian casualties due to wounded and invalids is three times higher than the number of killed, meaning that the so-called losses due to health reasons of the Russian army amount to 15,000.
So the Russians are losing 20,000 people a month. And this is only the minimum estimate, acknowledged by the Russian authorities. The real figure could be much higher.
As a reminder, according to official figures alone, about 80,000 Soviet soldiers were wounded and killed during the 10 years of the terrible war in Afghanistan. Russia has lost as many people in 4 months in the war against Ukraine as in 10 years of war in Afghanistan.
