Americans want North Koreans in Russia to be bombed
US President, Joe Biden, has lifted restrictions on Ukraine's use of long-range missiles only in the Kursk region of Russia.
According to the Axios media outlet, the decision was taken around three days ago.
The decision was aimed at deterring North Korea from sending additional troops to Russia to support its war against Ukraine.
“US officials hope that if North Korean troops at Kursk are hit, Pyongyang might reconsider its decision to send troops to Russia, and that the Russian counterattack at Kursk would fail,” reads Axios.
For some analysts, the use of long-range weapons should not be limited to the Kursk region. Striking high-priority targets throughout Russian territory could strengthen Kiev's position in any negotiations.
In particular, it could encourage Moscow to accept a moratorium on attacks on critical energy infrastructure.
