Man buries girlfriend in cement after heated argument
A man from South Korea has admitted to beating his girlfriend with a heavy object 16 years ago and then putting her body in a travel case and burying it on his balcony under bricks and a layer of cement.
The fifty-year-old from Geoje confessed to the facts after as many as sixteen years because a worker discovered the remains a month ago while drilling holes in the balcony. Meanwhile, the perpetrator was no longer living in the apartment in question, but could be found quickly. He told police that he had lived with the woman in an apartment in Geoje for five years. However, in October 2008, they got into an argument and he knocked her down with a heavy object. He then buried her in a suitcase under a layer of bricks and cement on a small third-floor balcony, which could only be accessed from one of the bedrooms.
