The young man thought he was suffering from severe food poisoning. Following a series of tests, including a digestive endoscopy, health professionals made a disgusting discovery: a live 3-centimeter cockroach was crawling around in his intestines.
The patient then told doctors that he had tasted street food a few days before his horrible pains had started. According to him, it was this food that was the cause of his health problem. For his part, Dr. Shubham Vatsya, an Indian gastroenterologist, assumes that the insect entered the young man’s mouth while he was sleeping, reports Demotivateur. “Even we were surprised to see how the cockroach managed to stay intact,” says the professional. He also explained how they managed to extract the cockroach: “We activated the suction button on the endoscope, which allowed the cockroach to be sucked into the suction channel, removed it from the body and saved the man’s life.”

“I’m going to pretend I didn’t read that and move on,“ said one social media post. "Every time there was talk of a nuclear disaster, cockroaches were said to be the creatures most likely to survive radiation. Now we know they can also survive inside your intestines, which is pretty impressive,” said another.
