This unknown man is the second richest man in the world
The Forbes list of the richest people in the world usually features the owners of the most renowned companies, such as Elon Musk (social media network X) or Jeff Bezos (Amazon). However, recently, a new profile has emerged: Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle.
Larry Ellison has become the 2nd richest man in the world thanks to the capital gain of his company Oracle, active in the IT world and more precisely in software related to database management systems and the famous Java programming language.
While at the beginning of September he was in fifth place in the rankings of the richest people on the planet, Oracle's stock market growth has quickly propelled him to the top of the list. Specifically, on September 10, the company's stock price hit a record high, allowing the entrepreneur to add $202.8 billion to his fortune.
Larry Ellison began his career as a computer programmer, when he founded Software Development Laboratories in 1977, with two partners. After several name changes, the company became what is now Oracle Systems Corp in 1982. The growth of the computer industry made it one of the leading companies in the sector.
